The meaning of life is 42

Which actually has nothing with this post to do, whatsoever.

(Well, you’re free to interpret the title and it’s relation to the post however you want, really). For those who don’t know, this is a famous quote, if you will, from The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. Though the famous number 42 is linked to life and the universe in other things as well, apparently (or so a quick google search told me), but moving on:

It’s Friday. Most people are out drinking, many are at Mayhem as the SU is giving out free tickets to get in (normally it’s 5 quid to get in to Mayhem). I on the other hand decided to be responsible, or lazy, choose whichever you prefer, and not go out. I did go to the pub with Debrah (one of my flatmates) for a drink and we met a Romanian girl called Andrea there and talked for a while, came back and had hot chocolate with marshmallows (marshmallows that I bought in a tiny, tiny kiosk on the way back to campus).

Though, to be fair to myself, we have had 18 hours of physical exercise this past week, and quite frankly I am completely knackered. I probably could party hard like the others are –most likely– doing right now if I wanted, by why do that when I could have an easy night of talking with Derbah?
This past week has both gone by quickly and incredibly slowly at the same time. I have barely sat still, and it’s probably going to continue like that with the timetable we have – and time, that’s something I’m in serious lack of. In-between school, dinner, food shopping, homework, being social and not locking myself away completely, and getting enough sleep, I really don’t have time for anything else. It’s a very different lifestyle from what I’m used to, after having been coped up in the middle of a forsaken forest somewhere for so many years, and while it is tiring, I’m not disliking it yet.

It really has been a big jump from high school to university, when it comes to hours of school per week (not counting lunch break).

The amount of lesson hours I now have every week: 42.
