End.
Today we
had our combat assessments, the final assessments of the term. Hours and days
and weeks spent preparing for these two things, and now it’s over. For the time
being.
This term
we have been working on rapier and dagger (otherwise referred to as R&D)
and unarmed, the same as in term one. Our assessments consisted of creating two
scenes, one with unarmed combat in it and one with R&D in it. We got a
different partner for the two things, picked out by the teachers, and the plan is
that we circulate so that we through the three years will have working with
everyone in our class once. The guy you see in the pictures was my partner for
R&D, and the second picture is basically the end of our scene. I won. Because I'm awesome.
We were let
go at around four after all feedback had been given and were told that we don’t
have to show our pretty faces until two tomorrow. After dinner at the pub to
celebrate, we all decided the celebration should be continued later on, which is
where I’m headed in forty minutes.
It’s been a
good day. Two more days and it’s Easter holiday. Four weeks of it. You might
imagine I’m overjoyed, but to be honest I can’t wait to be back. Four weeks is
far, far too long.
