Is Nigh.
And I can’t
wait. Don’t get me wrong, my course is amazing and we probably have the most kick-ass time table ever, but
I look forward to actually having time to sleep. Granted, our teachers have
given us plenty of work to be done over the holiday so boredom will be the
least of our problems, but even so, sleep.
It’s gonna be pretty damn good.
The two
last weeks now we have priority. This basically means you spend every day doing
the “specialty” of your course. Which in my case is stage combat. So for two
weeks now, we’re swinging swords and throwing punches from 9 to 6, working
toward our two combat assessments Wednesday 20th of March. And there
is little that can beat the sound of clashing swords; that sweet sound of metal
on the metal. Regardless though, believe me, when six o’clock rolls around, you’re
absolutely and completely knackered.
On the note
of combat, the combat teachers we have are probably the best teachers I’ve ever
met. I mean when it comes to teachers in general, no matter what subject they
teach. We got a small group of them, and they each have such distinct
personalities and quirks, it’s quite funny. They are strict and disciplined,
yet at the same time a lot more at ease and open that many other teachers I’ve
had. –In truth, they don’t really seem like teachers at all. More like… … …
geh. I don’t even know. But they are cool people, each in their individual way.
